Project Planning

We begin with a comprehensive feasibility study. This study will identify optimal locations, appropriate system sizing, incentives, estimated costs, and avoidable pitfalls of the project. Studies are conducted for both existing and new sites. Our detailed designs include a site plan, array layout, structural engineering, engineered electrical plans, and a monitoring system. We provide a production model of the system’s estimated performance, and integrate that into the financial model.

Design and Engineering

Our experienced solar engineers will work with you to develop designs that meet applicable codes, production goals, aesthetic requirements, and budgets. We use high quality solar equipment from top-tier manufacturers with maximum warranty terms.

Computerized Custom Design

At SolarPlus, we use state of the art computer programs and irradiance mapping tools to analyze your site’s potential for solar and provide solutions for your home’s electrical needs.

This technology allows us to provide you with accurate estimates, available incentives, and design layouts of your system. We provide break-even cost, return on investment, and lifetime savings calculations.

Project Implementation and Construction

Our team of solar experts has designed and installed over 200 megawatts of solar electric systems. We employ designers, project managers, and other NABCEP certified professionals to ensure superior installations and top notch engineering designs. During the construction process, we focus on running safe, clean work sites, and adhere to all OSHA regulations. Our Project Managers oversee successful implementation of your project that includes the project permitting, equipment staging & logistics, all aspects of the physical installation, Q.C. and system commissioning.

NABCEP Certified Installation

Our Project Leader will take ownership of the entire installation process, including all necessary inspections. Once we have obtained state, utility, and building department permits, our accredited NABCEP PV installers and electricians will build your system. Depending on the size of your system, a typical installation should be complete in less than a week. Once completed, we bring in third party electrical inspectors to verify that your system meets national and local requirements. Our goal is make the process simple!

Quality Assurance and Commissioning

From the initial design of the system, working with utilities and building departments, to selection of equipment and installation of the project, the SolarPlus team verifies the integrity of the project. We want to ensure the system is safe and will perform as required over the life of the system. Our commissioning process includes a visual inspection, inverter manufacturer startup requirements, system component torque guidelines, string voltage and current verification, performance verification, insulation testing, and IV curve trace results.

Turn on the Savings

After the electrical inspections are completed, SolarPlus works with your utility to obtain the final interconnection approval. Once we receive final approval from the utility, we power up your system. You can then watch the meter spin backwards and watch your savings grow.

Your Personal Assistant

We assign a representative who will be your contact to address all your questions throughout the process, and keep you informed on the progress. Your personnel assistant will be responsible for acquiring permits, filing applications for rebates/grants, completing structural reviews and a home assessment. This person is responsible for making the entire process simple and carefree.

Monitoring Your System

Our SolarPlus design team will include the latest monitoring software to observe your system and take care of any problems that arise. In addition, you get the ability to monitor the system online from your phone and computer.
